Conversion of Title in Form 13

Conversion of Title by way of Certificate in Form 13 of the Land Registration Rules 2012.

1. General

The LR Form 13 certificate under Rule 34 of the Land Registration Rules 2012.

1.1. Acquisition on sale Where property (purchased under the Land Purchase Acts and registered with a possessory title) has been acquired on sale and where the purchase money or compensation or value thereof does not exceed €1,000,000 the title may be converted to absolute on lodgement of a certificate in LR Form 13 of the Land Registration Rules 2012.

1.2. Acquisition by a statutory authority Where property (purchased under the Land Purchase Acts and registered with a possessory title) has been acquired by a statutory authority and the purchase money or compensation or value thereof does not exceed €1,000,000 the title may be converted to absolute on lodgement of a certificate in LR Form 13 of the Land Registration Rules 2012.

2. Registration Practice

Such applications are to be processed in the Dealings Sections.

The certificate in LR Form 13 is to be dated within one month of the date of lodgement.

The certificate is to be signed by an individual solicitor.

Subscribing the name of a firm or impressing a stamped signature on a certificate is not acceptable.
