ICS Building Society and The Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland– Legal Office Notice No. 7 of 2014

With effect from 1st September 2014, (the operative date), pursuant to the Scheme of Transfer approved by Order of the Minister for Finance, entitled the Central Bank Act 1971 (Approval of Scheme of Transfer between ICS Building Society and The Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland) Order 2014 (S.I. No. 257 of 2014), made by the Minister in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33 of the Central Bank Act 1971, ICS BUILDING SOCIETY transferred its mortgage loans to THE GOVERNOR AND COMPANY OF THE BANK OF IRELAND.

Such a transfer has effect as a deed registered in the Registry of Deeds or the Land Registry on the date on which it took effect. In view of the provisions of section 36 of the Central Bank Act 1971, no amendments on the register are required.

After the operative date THE GOVERNOR AND COMPANY OF THE BANK OF IRELAND will seal vacates and execute discharges of charges registered in the name of ICS Building Society. Charges dated prior to the operative date, which are lodged after that date, may be registered in the name of The Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland. Charges in the name of ICS Building Society, which are dated after the operative date, should be rejected.
