Welcome to the Tailte Éireann information page for the revaluation of all rateable properties in the local authority areas of Clare, Donegal, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Galway, Kerry and Mayo County Councils and Galway City Council. From this page you can keep up to date with the revaluation activity being carried out by Tailte Éireann in your area.

Reval 2023 is the new name for the merged Reval 2021 and DLR Reval projects. All previous information about Reval 2021 and DLR Reval can be found on the archived pages for those projects.

The Valuation Certificates for the above rating authorities will issue on 15th September 2023. Where a ratepayer is dissatisfied with the valuation, the ratepayer should appeal to the independent Valuation Tribunal by 19th October 2023.

The Valuation Lists for each of the above rating authorities will be published on the 22nd September 2023. Our Valuation Maps, including heat map feature, will be available from this date.

Walk-in clinics will be held in locations in each Local Authority between Monday 2nd October and Friday 6th October 2023. Valuation section staff will be available to answer ratepayer queries relating to the issue of the Valuation Certificates and no appointment will be necessary. Please bring along your Valuation Certificate. Please be aware that the Valuation (Net Annual Value) on the Valuation Certificate you have received is not your rates liability.

All representations have now been considered. A copy of your representations report can be requested by emailing a copy of your Valuation Certificate to reval2023@tailte.ie

Previous Updates

23rd February 2023

The remaining PVCs will issue in tranches between 23rd February and 25th May 2023. Where a ratepayer is dissatisfied with the proposed valuation or any of the details contained in the PVC, the ratepayer should make a “representation” to Tailte Éireann within 40 days of the date of issue of the Certificate.  The closing date for making representations is printed on each Proposed Valuation Certificate.

23rd September 2022

On the 23rd of September 2022, Proposed Valuation Certificates were issued to approximately 31,000 ratepayers in the above mentioned Local Authority areas.  

6th September 2022

On 2nd September 2022, the Commissioner of Valuation, with the consent of the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, revoked existing Valuation Orders for the revaluation of commercial and industrial properties in Clare, Donegal, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Galway, Kerry and Mayo County Council and Galway City Council Rating Authority areas.

 Following the completion of a statutory consultation process between the Commissioner of Valuation, the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage and the relevant Local Authorities, the Commissioner has made new valuation orders for these rating authority areas.

The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage has agreed with the Commissioner of Valuation that the Commissioner will defer the revaluation of rateable properties in the local authority areas of Clare, Donegal, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Galway, Kerry and Mayo County Councils and Galway City Council until 2023.
